En otro de los partidos del día, el serbio Novak Djokovic, número 12 del mundo, cayó en su debut ante el eslovaco Martin Klizan por 6-2, 1-6 y 6-3.
Djokovic, que había perdido en octavos en Montecarlo ante el austriaco Dominic Thiem no pudo con el número 140 del mundo, aunque la víspera había mostrado su confianza en hacer un buen papel y “volver a jugar” a su “mejor nivel lo antes posible”.
