Ibaka cree que era su "destino" jugar con España

Serge Ibaka, jugador de la selección española de baloncesto y de los Oklahoma City Thunder de la NBA, afirmó en el acto de presentación del equipo nacional, sentirse "cómodo" y achacó su presencia a cosas del "destino".
"Todos está muy bien desde el primer momento. Ya me siento cómodo entre mis compañeros y a muchos de ellos ya los conocía de la NBA, así es que no hay ningún problema", aseguró Ibaka.
"Estoy convencido de que todos me van a ayudar mucho a integrarme definitivamente", añadió el pívot de 2,08 metros.
Ibaka tiene claro lo que tiene que aportar al equipo. "Todo el mundo me conoce y sabe lo que puedo hacer en la pista, energía, rebotes y defensa", apuntó.
El jugador también se refirió a la equivocación del ministro de Fomento, José Blanco, en su inmediata comparecencia tras su nacionalización cuando le llamó 'Ikea'. "Se equivocó y nada más. Es gracioso, una anécdota", zanjó.
En cuanto a sus objetivos personales el pívot fue claro. "Quiero ayudar al equipo a llegar lo más alto posible y mejorar en lo personal como vengo haciendo desde que empecé a jugar al baloncesto", indicó.
Respecto a su nacionalización, Ibaka volvió a dejar claro que o jugaba con España o con ninguna otra selección.
"Hay muchas personas que han querido que estuviera aquí. En este país me he hecho como persona y como jugador y si no es con España no jugaría con ninguna otra selección", resaltó.
Al jugador se le pidió que hiciera un pequeño acto de reflexión, porque a sus 21 años todo parece que le ha pasado demasiado deprisa.
"Es verdad que el mundo, la vida va a veces demasiado deprisa. Pero es el destino. Soy un chico que trabaja mucho y esto es una consecuencia de este trabajo. Es el destino, repito", finalizó Serge Ibaka
